At Pioneering People, we’ve always been about more than just filling shifts. Our mission is to create a future of work that is instant and fair, but most importantly, human.
As we look toward 2026, we are focused on more than just the "job." We are aiming to build a true community where Pioneers can speak to one another, share experiences, and support each other through the unique highs and lows of the gig economy. Our vision includes launching exclusive community events, both online and in person, to bridge the gap between digital work and real-world connection.
To kick things off and show our commitment to your wellbeing, we are launching our first major initiative: a partnership with ZÜÜN.
Why We’re Partnering with ZÜÜN
The gig economy provides incredible freedom, but it can also be isolating. Without a traditional office or HR department, it’s easy to feel like you’re on your own.
By partnering with ZÜÜN, we are giving Pioneers access to a simple, accessible tool designed for busy, on-demand lifestyles. Whether it's five minutes of reflection between shifts or a tool to help you find balance at the end of the day, ZÜÜN is here to help you manage the unique pressures of flexible work.
Launch Offer:
Starting Thursday 5th February, look out for your email with a special link to access ZÜÜN for 2 months for £1 on the App Store.
Everything You Need to Know: Time to Talk Day 2026
To celebrate this partnership, we are launching on Time to Talk Day. Here is why this day matters so much for our community.
What is Time to Talk Day?
Time to Talk Day (February 5th, 2026) is the UK’s biggest mental health conversation. It’s a day for friends, families, communities, and workplaces to come together to talk, listen, and change lives. It was originally launched by Time to Change and is now led by major charities like Mind and Rethink Mental Illness.
Why is it important for the Gig Economy?
Recent studies show that the gig economy carries unique risks. While flexibility is a huge benefit, the lack of stability can lead to:
Mental Health Struggles: 68% of self-employed workers say stress or poor mental health has negatively impacted their ability to work effectively.
Physical Strain: Many gig workers report higher rates of burnout and physical fatigue due to irregular hours and the "hustle" required to secure the next shift.
Isolation: Loneliness among the self-employed is estimated to be three times higher than the general population.
Who else is talking about it?
You can find incredible resources, talking tips, and support from the charities that lead this movement:
* [Mind](https://www.mind.org.uk): Providing advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem.
* [Rethink Mental Illness](https://www.rethink.org): Improving the lives of people severely affected by mental illness through local groups and services.
* [Time to Change Wales](https://www.timetochangewales.org.uk), [See Me (Scotland)](https://www.seemescotland.org), and [Inspire (NI)](https://www.inspirewellbeing.org): Partnering to make sure the conversation reaches every corner of the UK.
FAQs: Time to Talk x Pioneering People
Q: Why is Pioneering People doing this?
A: We want to recognise that our Pioneers are humans first. Highlighting mental health is our way of acknowledging the pressures you face and providing a "wellbeing benefit" that supports your life outside of work.
Q: How do I join the conversation?
A: You don't need to be an expert. Just checking in with a fellow Pioneer or a friend can make a difference. We’ll be sharing more on our social media about how you can get involved.
Q: How do I get the ZÜÜN offer?
A: Check your inbox on Thursday 5th February. You’ll receive a custom code that you can redeem on the Apple App Store. The offer is valid up until 6 March 2026. Subscriptions are auto-renewing; cancel at any time.
Q: Are my reflections with ZÜÜN private?
A: Absolutely. ZÜÜN is a private tool for your personal reflection and wellbeing. Your data is your own.
